What is Best of Diesel?

Sometimes diesel just does it better, and we have a complete online guide dedicated to that cold, hard truth.

When it comes to diesel vehicles, they run better, last longer, and overall are just the better option. But, when you’re in the market for a new diesel, how do you decide what vehicle and aftermarket add-ons are best for you? That’s where we come in.

Best of Diesel tests, researches, and reviews different diesel vehicle add-ons, so you can determine which make and model you should invest in.

When it comes to truck hunting, it can be challenging. With dozens of gorgeous trucks on the market and even more additions, it can be an overwhelming task to compare them all. This is precisely why Best of Diesel does it for you. We are a team of truck lovers that produces content for other truck lovers.

Meet Our Team

Welcome to the truck-lovin’ team at Best of Diesel. All of our content creators would choose a diesel vehicle over a gas vehicle any day, and now you can meet them firsthand. Learn their preferences, values, and what kind of vehicle they love down below.

Corey | Owner

"Head of House here at Best of Diesel. I've managed a few diesel repair shops in Texas. Customers continually came in with poorly pieced together lift kits, turbo 'builds', etc expecting us to get it all working flawlessly.

After so many headaches, I decided to start a resource I can direct them to so they can get educated and choose quality parts to mod their trucks. Everything from lighting to wheels, we try to make things easy."

Lucas | Writer

After growing tired of being covered in grease everyday, Lucas turned to helping small shops write their service pages and similar work. He joined us in 2019 and covers most of the technical topics here.

Sean | Writer

Sean comes from the forums actually, and drives an OBS Ford. He writes fantastic DIYs and knows his way around a camera, too. We keep him caffeinated and away from DPF filters to avoid another rant about recent emissions restrictions.

Louis Hall | Editor

Louis has a love for all things 4WD, from ATVs to Duallys. Currently sporting an '05 Cummins, he ensures we're covering topics clearly and correctly. He's been a diesel head since his dad had him help swap injectors in their garage at 16 years old.

Steven | Brand Manager

Known as the “web guy” behind the scenes, Steven keeps the technical aspects up and running and has been our brand manager since the early days. His favorite hobbies include golf and spending time with his basset hound, Hank.

If you're interested in collaborating on behalf of a brand or related-website, feel free to reach out via steven(at)BestOfDiesel.com. Note, this is not for guest post inquiries, and such requests will be "accidentally overlooked".

How Does This All Work?

Not sure how this whole thing works? We’ve got you covered. Best of Diesel has created a unique online guidebook for all things diesel. We are a network of truck lovers who research and review diesel truck parts to give unbiased reviews to our audience.

To sum it up? We help you get into the diesel vehicle of your dreams without the headache of test driving half a dozen trucks with unlimited aftermarket options.

Just skim through our buying guides to find the best options to trick your vehicle out. Whether you’re looking for tuners, exhaust tips, or cold air intakes, we’ve tested them, and we’re here to make your purchase easier.

How Are Products Chosen?

When it comes to Best of Diesel, it’s pretty easy how products are chosen. Realistically, there aren’t too many diesels on the market, but we have one common goal in mind: Test them all and write the most comprehensive review possible.

We stay up-to-date with some of our diesel forums such as Chevy and GMC Duramax Diesel Forum, Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum, and Diesel Forum. Sprinkle in a little market research and some conversations with the experts, and Best of Diesel is the most trustworthy buyers guide on the diesel web.

Who Writes Content?

The best people to write content about diesel trucks are diesel truck lovers. So, when we started hiring our content creators, we focused on people who loved their truck and loved suping it up. Whether it was tuners or cold air intakes, our content creators have to have the same passion that our readers do.

How Does Best of Diesel Make Money?

Best of Diesel makes money in two simple ways: (1) ads, and (2) Amazon Affiliate links. For those who aren’t in the commission sphere, this can seem confusing. Essentially, when we post a link, and you buy with it, we receive a small kickback from Amazon for referring them.

Our links don’t affect our honest review.

Do We Get Paid to Review Products?

No, we do not. Though some companies have sent us aftermarket products for review, we have never been paid to review something directly. This would be a violation of our values at Best of Diesel.

Do Brands Pay Us for Better Rankings?

Certainly not. Not only is this bad business, but it would affect the relationship that we have worked hard to build with our audience. All of our rankings and reviews are 100% unbiased 100% of the time.
